Rathnagiri Rahasya
''Rathnagiri Rahasya'' ((カンナダ語:ರತ್ನಗಿರಿ ರಹಸ್ಯ)) is a 1957 Kannada language mystery - adventure - fantasy film directed and produced by B. R. Panthulu and starring Udaykumar and Jamuna in the lead roles.〔(Rathnagiri Rahasya-1905-Kannada Movie Information )〕 The film was made simultaneously in Tamil language as ''Thangamalai Ragasiyam''〔Thangamalai Ragasiyam〕 released in the same year with Sivaji Ganesan in the lead along with Jamuna reprising her role. Most of the technical crew remained the same for both Tamil and Kannada versions. It was also dubbed into Telugu as ''Rathnagiri Rahasyam''. Future acclaimed director Puttanna Kanagal made his debut as an assistant director in this film〔(History 48 - Puttanna Kanagal Becomes Independent Director )〕 This film screened at IFFI 1992 B R Panthalu Homage section.
==Plot==
Udaykumar plays the role of a prince who is separated from his parents by his father's foe at a very young age. He grew up as a ferocious and vicious cavemen. Then he meets Jamuna, who by her word of love and affection turns him for good. Both set out to find the secret of Rathnagiri to find and save Udaykumar's parents.
